It’s early in the game for us to have a trailer, given that the main event isn’t until June 18, and that we haven’t yet begun to hunt in earnest for the 4 first-timers whose stories will be told in the film. But nevertheless, as of today, we have a trailer. I used footage I shot on my 2009 ride, combined with footage shot by my videographer friend JP Cleary, from a short film he made documenting the 2004 ride.
The first clip in this trailer is part of a time lapse shot on the morning of Dec. 21 (Winter Solstice) atop Kite Hill in Gas Works Park. It gives you a taste of the high production values we’re bringing to this film, which is being shot on Canon DSLRs. We’ll continue to update the trailer as production continues. Enjoy.
